The Groton Historical Commission is presently seeking up to three alternate members. Alternate members are non-voting members of the Commission that participate in Historical Commission meetings and preservation projects and may serve as temporary voting members in the absence of one or more of the Commissioners. In time as volunteers rotate off the Commission alternate members would be offered the opportunity to rotate in as voting members. The ideal candidates would be residents of Groton interested in public service and preserving the Town's history and historical assets. The Commission meets monthly at the Town Hall. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Aubrey Theall, Chair, at histcomm@grotonma.gov or to attend a scheduled meeting. See https://www.grotonma.gov/government/boards-and-committees/historical-com... for more information about the Commission or www.grotonma.gov for a schedule of upcoming meetings.
