    In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. to consider an After-the-Fact Request for Determination of Applicability filed by John Amaral for an emergency sewer line repair within the buffer zone. 

The subject property is 120 Boston Rd (Parcel 222-15).     Pursuant to the vote of Article 12 of the 2023 Spring Town Meeting, as amended by Article 9 of the 2023 Fall Town Meeting, the Town of Groton has approved the creation of the Chicopee Row/North Street (Groton) and Kemp Street/Groton Street (Dunstable) Water Extension to bring potable drinking water to the Groton Dunstable Regional High School and private homes, required for the treatment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in said water supply sources due to the contamination of the well located at the Groton Dunstable Regional High School.  The Select Board will be considering setting a special rate development fee for this Project. A public hearing will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Groton Town Hall, 173 Main Street, Groton MA for this purpose.  All interested residents are invited to attend.

   In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 7:45 pm at The Groton Town Hall, First Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by Katherine and Dan Von Kohorn, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 76 Farmers Row, Assessors Map 108-11 to repair the chimney and modify it by reducing the chimney to historical height as well as replace the asphalt shingles in the same color as the existing asphalt shingle roof. Copies of the application and supporting materials are available for review by contacting the GHDC via the Land Use Dept, 2^nd floor of the Town Hall.

Effective immediately, there is a vacancy on the Groton Finance Committee. The appointment to fill the vacancy shall be done by a 3-person Finance Committee Appointment Committee that shall consist of the Chair of the Select Board, the Chair of the Finance Committee, and the Town Moderator.
