claiming to have an interest in a Mortgage covering real property in Groton, numbered 513 Main Street, Unit B, given by Cynthia L Patterson, to Citizens Bank, N.A., dated June 26, 2019, and recorded at Middlesex County (Southern District) Registry of Deeds in Book 72839, Page 132, has/have filed with this court a complaint for determination of Defendant’s/Defendants’ Servicemembers status. 

If you now are, or recently have been, in the active military service of the United States of America, then you may be entitled to the benefits of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. If you object to a foreclosure of the above-mentioned property on that basis, then you or your attorney must file a written appearance and answer in this court at Three Pemberton Square, Boston, MA 02108 on or before November 13, 2023 or you may lose the opportunity to challenge the foreclosure on the grounds of noncompliance with the Act.

As required by MGL Chapter 41, Section 10 and 11, there exists a vacancy on the Groton Sewer Commission.  All interested individuals shall complete a Committee Interest Form by Friday, October 27, 2023. Interested applicants will be interviewed by the Sewer Commission on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., held virtually on Zoom. Zoom information to this meeting will be found on the Committee Agenda posted on the Town’s website, www.grotonma.gov, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

A final appointment to fill the said vacancy shall be in a joint session with the Select Board and the remaining Sewer Commission Members at a Select Boards’s Meeting to be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 in the Groton Town Hall.

The Groton Town Manager and the Town’s Engineering Consultant, in conjunction with the Water Superintendent and Select Board will conduct two public sessions (one in the morning and one in the evening to accommodate the public’s availability) to present information about the PFAS Issue at the Groton Dunstable Regional High School and discuss the proposed Warrant Article relative to this issue that is contained in the 2023 Fall Town Meeting Warrant. The public sessions will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 9:30 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. at the Groton Center, 163 West Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. 

All interested parties are invited to attend.

   In accordance with the provisions of the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 198, the Earth Removal Stormwater Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 6:30 PM in the Town Hall, 173 Main Street, to consider the application submitted by Nashoba Homes Development, LLC, for approval of a Full Stormwater Management Permit for residential construction on Lots 1 & 2  as shown on the plan entitled, “Site Plan (Lot 1 & 2), Nashua Road, Groton MA, ” prepared by Dillis & Roy, dated August 30, 2023. The proposed lots are located on Assessors Map 227, Parcel 117.1, on the easterly side of Nashua Road. 

   Copies of the application and plan are on file in the Land Use Department in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 7:00 PM to consider the application submitted by Michael McAndrew under the provisions of Groton Zoning By-law Section 218-2.5, Major Site Plan Review. The application is for a beauty salon/spa to be located in the existing main building at 142 Main Street (Assessors’ Parcel 113-7). No changes are proposed to the exterior of the building.
