Groton Initiates Environmental Review Under MEPA for New FloRo

PUBLIC NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROJECT:
Florence Roche Elementary School
LOCATION: 342 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450
PROPONENT: Dr. Laura Chesson
The undersigned is submitting an Environmental Notification Form ("ENF") to the Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs on or before 02/28/2022 (date)
This will initiate review of the above project pursuant to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act ("MEPA", M.G.L. c. 30, s.s. 61-62I). Copies of the ENF may be obtained from: the office of the Applicant’s representative (20 A Street, Framingham, MA) weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Call the Applicant’s representative: Samiotes Consultants at (508) 877-6688.
Electronic copies of the ENF are also being sent to the Conservation Commission and Planning Board of Groton (Municipality).
The Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs will publish notice of the ENF in the Environmental Monitor, will receive public comments on the project for 20 days, and will then decide, within ten days, if an Environmental Impact Report is needed. A site visit and/or remote consultation session on the project may also be scheduled.
All persons wishing to comment on the project, or to be notified of a site visit and/or remote consultation session, should email MEPA@mass.gov. Mail correspondence will continue to be accepted, though responses may be delayed. Mail correspondence should be direct to the Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs, 100 Cambridge St., Suite 900, Boston, Massachusetts 02114, Attention: MEPA Office, referencing the above project.
