Some of World’s Most Exquisite Mirrors Are Made In West Groton

The artist in her studio. Carol Canner examines details of one of her sculptural mirror frames, a frame series inspired by nature. To make the original, Carol first sculpted the frame in modeling clay. The clay mockup was then used to create a master mold. Next, the master mold became a template for production. After casting a frame with a specialty resin and then letting it cure, base coats are applied, preparing the frame for hand-painting. Photo by Russell Harris
