GCT Plans to Upgrade Bates Land Include an Accessible Trail: The Bates Land On Old Ayer Road Has Accessibility Issues Requiring Immediate Attention. See graphic above. • Install a flat accessible path between the parking lot and the shaded picnic area. • Replace the crossing over James Brook to allow for access for emergency vehicles • Expand parking to allow for more visitation, special events and programming. • Designate a van-accessible parking spot.
