Wanted: Select Board Member With Proven Experience In Town Government

Wanted: One Select Board member who is a critical thinker, has proven experience in all facets of town government, and whose only agenda is to do what is in the best interest of all Groton citizens.
Peter Cunningham is the only candidate running for office this year that has been an active and valued participant in the process to develop and implement a number of Town Master Plans.

Clear Path for Veterans Opens at Devens

On May 12 the Devens vaccine center opened its doors at Clear Path for Veterans New England. State Rep. Sheila Harrington [third row at right] worked with her fellow legislators, Sen. Jamie Eldridge, Sen. John Cronin, Rep. Jim Arciero, Rep Danelo Sena and Rep. Meghan Kilcoyne, pictured here, as well as with Don Palma, Jr., [bottom row, center], retired former Groton police chief who stepped in to become the Director of Operations.

Participation Numbers Are Down

Observations by GD Athletic Director Matt Ricard:
“Our baseball, softball and boys lacrosse numbers are good but girls’ lacrosse is low. From what I am being told, track is low. Usually the numbers are greater on both teams. Girls tennis has only eight kids and the boys have eleven. Of late, there are 11 for boys, an increase of three over the past few days.

Sweeping the Track

Maddie Dondero (13.57), Sydney Prechtl (13.83), Cassidy Heulings (13.41) and Lindsey Earle (13.59), finished first overall in the 4 x 100M. Their time was a blistering 54.40! Photo by Robert Mingolelli
