Westborough’s Ella Antonelli pitched a perfect game with 13 Ks. Teammate Daphnie Kadish (four hits, 3 RBIs, run), while Julia Mills (3 hits, 3 RBIs, 2 runs). Lauren Haggerty went the distance for GD. Records: WHS (5-0), GD (4-2).

Select Board Approves Chief Luth’s Request To Hire 3 Reserve Police Officers

Groton Police Chief Michael Luth requested the Select Board approve the hiring of three Reserve/part-time Officers based on his concern regarding the impact on his Department’s staffing following the law signed by Gov Baker entitled “an Act Relative to Justice, Equity and Accountability in Law Enforcement in the Commonwealth.”

"Quilts in the Harbor"

Cobblestone Quilts in Townsend is sponsoring “Quilts in the Harbor” Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days with reservations. This small show will feature fabulous quilts from several local talented quilters! A special exhibit of some of the quilts held by the Townsend Historical Society will also be on display. The show will be held at the Harbor Church, 80 Main St (Rte. 119) in Townsend.

Tax Collector Office Assistant

The Tax Collector Office Assistant performs skilled administrative, clerical, and bookkeeping for the Treasurer’s/Tax Department. Assists the public, at the counter, answers the phone, and will respond to email/mail related to collection of real estate, personal property, motor vehicle, and other taxes.
