LETTER: Always Ready To Listen to Concerns of Our Residents

     It is my pleasure to endorse Peter Cunningham as a write-in candidate for a position on the Select Board at the Annual Town Election on June 9, 2020. I have been fortunate to have served on several committee's with Peter in regards to our Senior Citizens. His previous record as a long- time selectman stands on its own.

These Are Troubling Times

The temporary leash law means that if a dog is off the property of its owner it must be leashed. Previously if a dog was off-leash and off the property of its owner it had to respond to the commands “come, sit and stay”. Rarely did this work.           This meant that a dog was not under control and needed to be on a leash.

Fishing Gets Green Light

Phase 1 of the state’s reopening was effective on Monday, May 18. Some area sportsman’s clubs received messages from Gov. Baker’s office and their respective police chief that they could reopen while maintaining safe, social distancing practices during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. That means constant six feet apart outdoors as well as indoors — or wearing a mask. Gathering groups must be no larger than 10 people.
