April Musical Events at Indian Hill

INDIAN HILL CHAMBER CONCERT: Indian Hill Music School faculty members Paul Surapine, clarinet; Martha Warren, soprano; and Michelle Kelley, piano, offer an eclectic chamber music program on Sunday, April 1, 3 p.m. Selections include Schubert's Shepherd on the Rock, Mozart's Parto, Parto, and Rorem's Ariel. TICKETS: $18 (students $15).

Spring Artisan/Craft Fair

Celebrate spring at Union Congregational Church's seventh annual Spring Artisan/Craft Fair Saturday, March 31,10 a.m.-3 p.m. With a variety of unique gifts and seasonal home décor, the fair will showcase talents of local artisans and crafters. All items are handmade; there will not be any resales or commercial vendors. Refresh yourself with scones and coffee in the morning, then stay lunch of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Don't forget to stop by the bake table for goodies to go!

Screening Room Presents "The Concert"

Saturday March 31, 7:30 p.m. the curtain goes up in the Screening Room upstairs in historic Groton Grange Hall, 80 Champney St., for premiere of the film The Concert. Golden Globe nominated as Best Foreign Language Film, this uplifting comedy follows fallen Russian maestro Andrey Filipov (Aleksey Guskov), who seizes a chance to reunite his orchestra and reclaim his life 30 years after politicos cut short his music career.

Groton School Jazz Festival Welcomes Spring with "Enter Autumn"

The public is welcome to attend a high-energy jazz concert Saturday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the Schoolhouse Hall at Groton School. Henry Bloomfield, a 2007 alumnus, will perform with his band, Enter Autumn. Groton School's student jazz combos will open for Enter Autumn, which features Bloomfield on vocals and piano, Sungtaek Oh on drums, Changmin Jun on electric bass, and Bumsuk Lee on alto sax. The band formed last fall at Berklee College of Music.

High School Drama Guild's Godspell

Groton-Dunstable High School Drama Guild presents their spring musical Godspell Friday, April 27, 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 28, 2 and 7 p.m. at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School Black Box, 703 Chicopee Row, Groton. Admission is $12 Adults/Students; $8 Seniors/Matinee. Godspell is based on the Gospel according to Matthew, and features a score by Stephen Schwartz. Godspell is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
