Field Hockey

“Plenty of chances but we couldn’t finish,” groaned GD field hockey coach Rachel Connerty. It was an outstanding team effort and, in particular, Captain Hannah Erickson.
The Pod 7 Individual Golf Championship: 
Lunenburg’s Gavin Cloutier shot 2-over 72 at Northern Spy Golf Club (formally Townsend Ridge) to win the Pod 7 Indi- vidual Golf Championship on November 4. Pod teams: GD, Tyngsborough, Littleton, North Middlesex, Lunenburg, Parker Charter.
Cloutier bested Tyngsboro’s Trevor Drew by three shots, with Drew’s teammates Kevin Carpenter and Connor St. Gelais tying for third at 82.
Lunenburg’s Brayden Gendron was fifth at 83. Littleton’s Aaron King and Groton-Dunstable’s Ethan Loomis were another stroke back and tied for sixth, and Littleton’s Alex Forziati, North Middlesex’s Xander Murray and Groton-Dunstable’s Tom Joyner rounded out the top 10 by tying for eighth at 85.
