Groton Girls Competed at Tim Daggett National Gymnastics Invitational

Nashoba Gymnastics Academy, in Westford, competed at the Tim Daggett National Invitational in February at Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. All Level 4-10 gymnasts competed at the Invitational which was a Mass USAG Sectional Meet for Junior Olympic Program (J.O.) Levels 5-10. The J.O. Program is part of USA Gymnastics.).

Gymnasts in the J.O. program must qualify with a minimum all-around score at a regional qualifier, as well as a sectional qualifier in order to be eligible to compete at the State Meet for their respective level. Nashoba gymnasts in Levels 4-10 have all qualified to their State Meets beginning in March. Gymnasts in Levels 8-10 also have the ability to qualify to Regionals (Levels 8-10), Eastern Nationals (Level 9) and Jr. Olympic Nationals (Level 10).

Results for TDNI 2014 are as follows: Level 10 Mimi Traore 1st AA,4th VT,1st UB,1st BB,4th FX; Level 9 2nd Place Team, Aditi Sirsikar 1st AA,3rd VT,1st UB,3rd BB,4th FX, Annie Bailey 5th AA,6th VT,5th UB,2nd BB, Noely Macias 4th UB,6th BB; Level 8 Kristina Hnath 3rd AA,4th VT,1st UB,1st FX; Level 6 Alexa Ryan 1st AA,1st VT,1st UB,2nd BB,1st FX, Sophia Egan 5th VT,5th FX; Level 5 Katerina Beck 3rd AA,1st VT,4th UB,3rd BB, Kelly McGuinness 5th AA,5th UB,4th BB, Nina Scaramucci 6th UB, Jessica Gould 3rd BB; Level 4 Gabriella Rausa 4th AA, 5th VT, 6th UB, 3rd FX. Gymnasts are coached by Christy Walsh Phipps, Head coach and Team Director. Brandy Green coaches Levels 3-6. Cara Diperna coaches Levels 2-6.
