GDRHS Grads in College Sports

Bucknell University junior CELINA ANTONELLIS of Groton was named to the CoSIDA Academic All- District 2 softball team. Antonellis, a double major in political science and creative writing, carries a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and has made the Dean’s List in each of her first five semesters. Antonellis has also completed internships with Senator Edward J. Markey and Congresswoman Niki Tsongas. Primarily an outfielder, Celina has started in 18 games and has 8 hits, 5 walks, 3 RBI and 2 steals. The Bison posted a 23-20 record.

Clark University freshman pitcher SARAH WOODS appeared in 12 games posting a 3-4 record. She had an ERA of 4.27 and struck out 24 batters while walking only 7. The Cougars finished the season with a 9-23 record. Sarah is majoring in English and pitched for GDRHS softball team.

Junior lacrosse player ZACH COTONI of Groton was fourth in scoring with 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists) for the Davis and Elkins College (W-VA). The Senators play in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and posted a 4-10 record. Zach is Majoring in Sports Management, with a minor in Business. He played midfielder for GDRHS.
