Crusaders Boys Lacrosse Rebounds

Host Groton-Dunstable boys lacrosse, led 6-2 midway through the second quarter but Westborough's Jack Pierce scored with less than two minutes left in regulation to tie the contest. With 3:26 left in overtime, team mate Charlie Katz got the game winner for the Rangers (4-1) taking a 12-11 decision.

Trailing 1-0 Austin Hourani tallied the equalizer from Quintin Forbes at 9:27 of the first quarter. Hourani returned the favor feeding Forbes who finished, beating Ranger keeper Kevin Skirvin at 5:40 for a 2-1 lead.

GD Senior Tristan Lynch (assist: Forbes) pushed the lead to 3-1 with 1:23 remaining in the first quarter. With time running out, Rangers' Conner Joyce beat PJ Kendall to close the hometeam's lead to 3-2.

Zach Cotoni's first goal in the second put GD up 4-2 with 6:22 left in the half. Moments later, the Crusaders had a four goal advantage.

Jack Pierce finished with three goals, Katz, Mike Gallo (2 goals, 2 assists) and Karl Lemack (2 goals). Zach Cotoni and Ryan Heinser tallied three goals each while Quintin Forbes scored a goal and handed out five assists.

The Crusaders rebounded defeating Nashoba Regional 11-6, followed by a strong effort against Littleton. Three goals each from senior Quintin Forbes and sophomore Ryan Dodge paced the Crusaders past the visiting Tigers (5-2), 17-6. Senior middie Austin Hourani (2 goals, 3 assists) and junior attack Zach Cotoni (2 goals, 3 assists) led Groton-Dunstable (4-3, 1-3 Midland A).
