CRUSADER SCOREBOARD
SKIING
In the Slalom meet at Nashoba Valley Ski Area Tues., Jan. 29, Groton -Dunstable finished sixth behind Acton-Boxborough, Westford Academy, Newton South and Bromfield (tied) and Chelmsford. "Each skier had one run and every girl racer today, finished," said Lowell ski team coach Chris Zacharer.
"The double hairpin on the boy's course is the first time I have seen it in that traverse combination at Nashoba. Without prompting, Mark Jackson, who set the course, also indicated that it was the first time they have set a double hairpin in that way in all the races he has timed at Nashoba. I just thought it was interesting...the boys seemed to handle it well."
