Clark Tournament

The prestigious 81st Annual Clark Tournament will be held at Clark University in Worcester on February 16 – 22. The Tournament will feature sixteen Central Massachusetts teams selected and seeded through eligibility criteria and provides a quality experience for players, coaches and fans.
No. 5 Groton-Dunstable (12- 4) will play No. 4 Oakmont (12-5) on Monday, February 17 at 6:00 p.m. in first round action. Oakmont’s Quentin Pridgen (17.6 ppg ave.) and Ryan Hulecki (12.2) lead the Spartans in scoring while Kyle Plausse (13.4) and Tim Stark (12.0) consistently are at the top of the scoring for the Crusaders. But on any given night, seniors Joe O’Malley and Charles Willis and junior Riley Curran can step up fill the net with the best of them.
GD and Oakmont had similar results against common opponents this season. Both defeated Marlborough and North Middlesex. GD defeated Tyngsborough but Oakmont fell to the Tigers 47-43. Both lost to Mid-Wach A Leominster. The Crusaders, who play in Mid-Wach B, may have an advantage over Mid-Wach C Oakmont because of strength of schedule. But, maybe not! Mid- Wach E Maynard upset GD 46-45 this past Saturday, and that’s why they play the games!
