Brendan Ferrari Headed to UMass Boston

"Brendan Ferrari, one of the best high school pitchers in Central Mass.," says GD varsity baseball coach Matt LeBlanc.              Groton-Dunstable senior Brendan Ferrari will attend UMass Boston in the fall. The UMass Boston Beacons had focused on right hand pitcher Ferrari who also played travel ball for North East Baseball.
NEB was founded with a vision to provide baseball players in New England with the education of baseball and life skills necessary to achieve their baseball dreams.
"Brendan will make an immediate positive contribution to UMass in spring 2021," shared GD varsity baseball coach Matt LeBlanc. "His impressive season last year continued both on the mound and at the plate. He pitched 52 innings, striking out 44 batters, with a 2.00 ERA, winning five games and also earning a save. He also batted .333 on the year, drove home the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh in our home playoff game against Doherty last season. Brendan was named the Midland-Wachusett League MVP last season. A three sport athlete, Brendan has been on varsity since his freshman year, competing on the football, hockey and baseball teams. "I can't wait to see him back on the mound," shared coach LeBlanc. Brendan plans to major in Criminal Justice. He is the son of Shawn and Dawn Ferrari of Dunstable.
