September 18, 2015 Is the Deadline For Submitting Suggestions for Changes To The Charter

If any resident of Groton wishes to make suggestions regarding changes to the Groton Charter, our governing document, a form of constitution, those suggestions must be submitted to the Charter Review Committee no later than September 18, 2015.

The Charter Review Committee has determined that Charter changes MUST be in writing, preferably submitted via email to:

Important caveat: Any discussions, conversations or suggestions made verbally to any member of the committee are not considered admissible. To be valid, suggestions must be submitted in writing.

Additional Information:

• Changes may be placed in the drop box at the rear of Town Hall.

• Changes may be submitted anonymously. To submit anonymously DO NOT provide any contact information. You cannot provide identifying information and request anonymity. If submission is anonymous, The Review committee cannot confirm receipt, ask for more information nor schedule discussion with submitter.

• All content of submissions will be available to the public in accordance with the public records law.
