SEASONAL Water Main Flushing

Groton Water Department will begin annual flushing of the water distribution system Tuesday, April 14- Friday, April 25. All water main flushing occurs during daytime only. We anticipate flushing will take approximately two weeks to complete. You will experience discolored water during the flushing effort and we apologize for this inconvenience.

In the event that you experience a prolonged period of discolored water, run numerous cold water taps for five to 10 minutes or until it clears up.

This is the time to thoroughly flush your hot water tank.

The water distribution system flushing program is subject to change without notice and the dates listed below are approximate only!

AREA 1 - April 14-15: Martins Pond Rd, Schoolhouse Rd, Hemlock Park Dr, Orchard Lane, Chestnut Hill Rd, Hollis St, Champney St, Middle School Complex, Main St, Lowell Rd, Lost Lake Dr.

AREA 2 - April 16: Old Ayer Rd, Boston Rd, Lovers Lane, Elm St, Pleasant St, Farmers Row, Lawrence Academy Campus.

AREA 3 - April 17: Lost Lake side streets, Allison Park, Heritage, Homestead, Allan's Trail, Willowdale, Court St, Station Ave., Sheple Ln.

AREA 4 - April 21: West St, Whiting Ave, Hillside Ave, Fairview Ave, Mill St, Gratuity Rd, Fitch's Bridge Rd, Nod Rd, North Main St, Riverbend Dr, Wintergreen Lane.

Area 5 - April 22: Higley St, Groton School Campus, Shirley St, Joy Lane, Culver St, Smith, Dolan Drive.

Area 6 - April 23: Duck Pond Drive, Hidden Valley Rd, Whiley Rd, Boston Rd, Forge Village Rd, Hayden Rd, Sandy Pond Rd, Robin Hill Rd, Quail Ridge Rd, Stonebridge/Old Carriage Path, Gilson Rd, Sunset Rd.

Area 7 - April 24: Cow Pond Rd, Painted Post, Amanda's Way, Side Streets
