Retirement Ceremony for Veteran Groton Police Officer Irm Pierce

A retirement ceremony was held recently for Officer Irm Pierce, a 37-year veteran of the Groton Police Department, a man whose steadiness, professional integrity, and calm authority earned the respect of the whole community.

Of Officer Pierce, Groton Police Chief Palma said, "Community Policing IS Irm Pierce and Irm Pierce IS Community Policing; he has been well loved in this town."
