Opening on Conservation Commission
The Groton Conservation Commission is a town board consisting of seven volunteers who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen. It is the official agency charged with protection of Groton's natural resources. The Commission also advises other municipal departments and boards on conservation issues. In addition, the Commission is responsible for managing over 2,000 acres of town-owned conservation land. Effective November 25, 2015, there will be an opening on the Commission.
Any resident interested in serving on the Commission is encouraged to contact the Conservation Commission at 978-448- 1106 or email
ttada@townofgroton.org. Interested candidates should also fill out a "Committee Interest Form" which is available in the Board of Selectmen or Conservation Commission offices in Town Hall. Please submit applications by November 20, 2015.
