Deer-Kill Report

Groton’s Deer-kill Officer Wayne Tuttle reports 22 deer killed by motor vehicles in 2019. There were numerous others struck but not retrieved. The number of fatal deer-strikes in Groton was down slightly from last year. Mass. Fish and Wildlife law states that the driver or a passenger in a vehicle that kills a deer may claim the deer but must first report it to Mass. Environmental Police within 24 hours, 1-800-632-8075.
