SCHOOLS: Public Notice of School Record Destruction

The Pupil Personnel Office of the Groton Dunstable Regional School District is informing former Special Education Students and their parents that records are scheduled for destruction. The records scheduled for destruction are those of students whose services were terminated before June 2009.

If you are a student whose special education services were terminated before June, 2009, you may request the records before June 1, 2014. All requests must be in writing, and can be faxed or sent through US mail. These requests should be sent to the attention of:

When submitting your request please include the student's full name, date of birth, graduation/termination date and your daytime phone number. You will be contacted to arrange a pick up time. Records can only be picked up in person with valid photo ID, by appointment only at the Special Education Office at the Prescott School located in the Prescott School Building, 145 Main Street, Groton.

Unless a signed written request for records is received by June 1, 2014, the records will be destroyed in accordance with Federal Regulations under 34 C.F.R. Part 300 (I.D.E.A.)
