2020 Senior HS Graduation
The School Committee voted to postpone the original graduation date for the Senior Class of 2020 with a future date to be determined. There is an overwhelming consensus from the board to hold off on approving an alternative date in the hope that the gathering restrictions will be lifted in upcoming months in which a more traditional ceremony would be permissible.
The School Committee requested additional feedback from seniors about their availability to attend a postponed graduation ceremony. That info was provided to the board for consideration by Ari Navetta, Senior Class Leader.
All future decisions must comply with state and local health restrictions. A decision on a future date for High School Graduation will be discussed and voted upon in the upcoming weeks.
Food Service During School Closure
The food service department will continue to provide lunches to students who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Lunches can be picked up every Tuesday. The district is currently providing meals for approximately 100 families.
All eligible families are advised to drive behind Middle School South - Door #8 on Tuesdays between 10AM-12 PM and honk your horn. A staff member will bring the meals for delivery. If families do not have transportation to pick up lunches, an alternative method can be arranged. Please contact Katie Novak, Assistant Superintendent at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an alternate arrangement.
Technology During School Closure
The District has given out approximately 150 devices to families to support continued learning. If families are still in need of devices they may pick one up on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm.
Please email email@example.com to make a reservation. In addition, we will be offering devices to any paraprofessional that needs a device and does not have one at home.
