School Committee votes to affirm state mandate that all school employees be fingerprinted in the next year or so. They also voted to affirm a resolution calling on the legislature to periodically review compliance to make sure everyone gets fingerprinted.
School Committee votes against resolution encouraging state-wide adoption of Pre-K programs for fear of it becoming an unfunded mandate. School Committee Chairman Alison Manugian said, "Kindergarten is probably an adequate place for the start of formal education."
