G-D Graduates Urged to Pursue Career Driven by Passion For Positive Impact on Others

Groton-Dunstable Class President Zach Gavel delivered a personal and heartfelt message to his classmates during their graduation ceremonies Friday evening, June 2. He encouraged them to enjoy the experiences that they each will have, to look out for and take care of one another as they move forward in their lives, and to realize that the moments that they share together will be the ones that they remember forever. Zach will be attending Northeastern University in the fall studying political science and international affairs. Photo by Nancy Ohringer

Good friends Alex Platt, Alex Philibert and Ian Peterson wait for their names to be called to receive their diplomas at Groton-Dunstable’s graduation ceremonies. Alex Platt will be heading out on a year-long, cross-country road trip in the fall with classmate Will Premru, (majoring in photography at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan next fall), to visit national parks and public lands. Upon his return, Alex will be attending Bates College. Alex Philibert will be attending Colorado State University to study business, and Ian Peterson will be heading to Colby College this fall to study environmental science and applied mathematics. Siblings Tyler & Brielle LeClerc sit together at Groton-Dunstable’s graduation exercises on Friday evening, June 2.  Tyler will be attending and playing basketball at Salem State, a school with a long tradition of basketball and a perennial powerhouse in Div. 3. Sister Brielle, a four-year GDRHS basketball standout as well, will be attending UMass Lowell studying exercise science with the hope of earning her doctorate in physical therapy. Photo by Nancy Ohringer
