FIRST POETRY SLAM Team Goes to LTAB Boston

Senior Jack Phelps, juniors Jesus Abreu and Renée Hampton, and sophomores Emmy Scalf and Mike Suchecki will represent Groton-Dunstable Regional High School in Boston's 2015 LTAB Competition, a youth poetry slam. Thirty-one teams from across the state will participate in the preliminary rounds. This is GD's first-ever slam team.

GD's team will compete in two "bouts." The first is at 1 p.m. in the Atrium of the USES Community Center on 566 Columbus Ave. with Boston's Codman Academy, Salem Academy, and Free Verse! (a youth group from Lowell). The second bout is at 5 p.m. at the Ben Franklin Institute of Technology on 41 Berkeley St. with Great Barrington's Monument Mountain Regional High School and Andover High School.
