Pepperell's Lawrence Library Art Gallery has a new show of photography by Art Ferrie. The show will run through Saturday, March 12

A native of Lowell Ferrier has been a fine art and commercial photographer since the late 1970s. His work has won numerous awards and has appeared in galleries throughout the northeastern United States, as well as in Hamburg and Florence. In his own words,

"The title of this collection, Exploring Spaces, refers first to the physical interior and exterior spaces where I look for my images. I have always loved the endless combinations of shape and color, light and shadow present in the urban environment, and have spent countless hours exploring the interactions of these elements with the humanity of the city itself. The title also refers to interplay of positive and negative space within my compositions. Inspired by centuries of great painters I continue to explore geometry and proportion as I seek to create images that are interesting, inspiring and, above all, beautiful. I welcome viewers to the world as I see it, and hope they will enjoy their stay."
