BLOOD DRIVE in Shirley

Dr. Arthur F. Eddy, Family Dentist in Shirley, and Ayer-Shirley Lions Club are co-sponsoring their ninth annual American Red Cross Blood Drive Friday, May 8, 1-6 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Parish Hall, 33 Chapel St., Shirley.

All blood drive participants will be eligible to win pair of Boston Red Sox tickets to the August l game vs. Tampa Bay Rays. Dr. Eddy will serve his wife's chocolate chip cookies and a play area will be available for children who come with their parents.

To give blood, you must be healthy, weigh at least 110 pound and be at least 16 years old (16 years olds need a signed parental consent). Most medications are okay. You can donate whole blood every 56 days or double red cells every 112 days. Positive ID required.
