Local Residents Graduate and Earn Honors

GROTON SCHOOL

Heeu "Millie" Kim, of Sujung, Gyeonggi Korea, is one of only 18 high school students who were selected to attend the forty-fifth annual Missouri Urban Journalism Workshop (MUJW) July 11-19 at the University of Missouri. Kim will be a junior at Groton School. While at the workshop, Kim focused on print journalism.

SMITH COLLEGE

Samantha M. Comeau, daughter of Rob and Maria Comeau of Groton, was named to the Dean's List at Smith College for her academic achievement for the 2014-15 school year. Samantha graduated from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School and is majoring in Elementary Education.

ACADEMY OF NOTRE DAME

Emily Francis of Groton, on Academy of Notre Dame Academic Awards and Student Recognition Night, received the Norton Family Leadership Scholarship. She also received The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rensselaer Medal which is a college book and recognition award given to members of the junior class who exemplify criteria set forth by the college for a designee.

FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY

Andrew Watson of Groton  graduated from Franklin Pierce University in spring 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Watson was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester 

COLLEGE OF THE HOLY CROSS

Cassandra Dinkel, a fourth year student at College of the Holy Cross, was named to the Dean's List for the second semester of the 2014-2015 academic year. She is the daughter of Lou and Marianne Dinkel of Groton. Cassandra graduated Cum Laude on May 22. She majored in English & Psychology.

MCPHS

Shrinath Patel of Dunstable has been named to the Dean's List at MCPHS in Boston for the spring 2015 semester and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Premedical and Health Studies (Physician Assistant Studies). Shrinath will graduate in 2016.

Zachary Wilson of Dunstable has been named to the Dean's List at MCPHS in Boston for the spring 2015 semester and is pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy. Zachary will graduate in 2016.

CLARK UNIVERSITY

Clara O'Rourke, of Groton, has been named to first honors on the Clark University Dean's List.  This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2015 semester.
