Hear ye! Hear ye! Edie Tompkins turns 90!

Edie Tompkins has been active in this community for more than 50 of her 90 years and we, her family, wish to include you in celebration of this joyful moment.
Due to Covid-19 we are unable to celebrate face-to-face and that is what she and so many people are missing and longing for. You are invited to share a video or electronic message/“visit” by phone or internet. Write a note, a poem, a joke or a song. Perform it in the safety of your home and make it a video gift. Send it to the email address at the bottom of this announcement. We will present her with the address so she can enjoy well wishes for weeks to come! We hope to flood her with recordings to keep her company in this time of isolation.
Edie may have been your teacher at Groton Dunstable HS, Lawrence Academy or Country Day. Perhaps you sang in the Christmas Concert she directed for 45 years, or in the church choir at UCC, the Townsend Congregational Church or the Unitarian Universalist Church of Groton. Or, maybe Edie made you a star in one of her original children’s or youth plays/musicals, or gave you piano lessons in her living room. However Edie may have touched your life, here is an opportunity to honor her and send her a message of appreciation.
Thank you for your kindness to our incomparable director.
