Public Invited to Habitat for Humanity NCM Author Event

For its second year now, Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts, in partnership with First Parish of Bolton, will present its annual Author Event on Sunday, November 10 from 6-8 p.m. The church is located at 673 Main Street, Bolton. Light refreshments will be served. The fundraising event will feature a “Meet & Greet” and discussion with four local authors from the collective publication Mountains and Meditations - A Quabbin Quills Anthology.
Leading the discussion of their writings are Sonya Shaw Wirtanen, Nancy Tatro, Clare Green, and Diane Kane. The gathering will also introduce our two newest Habitat families as they talk about their journey home.
Also joining the panel of authors is Clif Read, Supervisor of Interpretive Services for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) - Division of Water Supply Protection at Quabbin Reservoir. Mr. Read has been with the agency for more than 30 years. He supervises the Quabbin Visitor Center which receives 25,000 visitors annually. He will be talking about the history of the Quabbin Reservoir and how some families chose to move their homes rather than rebuild when the reservoir was created.
