Concerts Ahead at Indian Hill Music, From Gospel to Classical 

Indan Hill Music’s ever-eclectic concert series will offer a diverse pair of events this weekend, from chamber music classics to inspiring gospel tunes.   

Saturday, March 25 at 8 pm, IHM will present the acclaimed Jupiter String Quartet at Kalliroscope Gallery, 264 Main St., Groton. Program will feature quartets by Mozart (G Major, K. 387), Bartok (No. 4), and Dvorak (E-flat Major, Op. 51). . In addition to touring throughout U.S. and abroad, Jupiters are Artists-in-Residence at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where they maintain private studios and run the string chamber music program. TICKETS: $32 (includes post-concert wine and cheese reception with the musicians). 

Gospel will rule Sunday, March 26, 3pm at IHM (36 King St., Littleton) with an afternoon of traditional spirituals and gospel tunes with popular vocalists Suzanne Buell, Vicki Zelski, and Russell Watts; Shawn McCann, piano; Jeff Purchon, guitar; Abe Finch, percussion; and Michael Payette, bass. Lead vocalist Suzanne Buell, former Stax recording artist, started her musical career in Memphis and CA. She has since appeared with Memphis Symphony Chorus, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Chorus, Concord Women’s Chorus, Boston Community Choir, Boston Pops Gospel Choir, and a variety of local venues. TICKETS: $10 available at the door.
