Perry E. Johnson, 88

Perry E. Johnson, 88, of Groton, former longtime resident of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, December 19 2012. Born and raised in Somerville, Perry was a decorated veteran of WWII having served with Merrill's Marauders in Burma. Following his return from service, he married the love of his life, Ruthe T. Rego, who preceded him in death in 2005. Also preceding him in death was his eldest daughter Leslie and sister Carole Johnson.

He is survived by daughter Cheryl of Raleigh, NC; son Wayne and his wife Lisa of Midland, TX; son Lance of Groton, brother Paul and wife Margaret of Bedford, brother Earle and wife Peggy of Billerica, sister Ruth Barnett of East Harwich, grandchildren Liana, Lance, Jesse, Lena, Jamey, Amanda and Olivia, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 at Pepperell Christian Fellowship Church. Pepperell. See www.badgerfuneral.com
