OBITUARY: Ruth (Blood) Robinson, 91; Visiting Hours, Service Dec. 2nd, 3rd.

Ruth (Blood) Robinson, 91, of Groton died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Life Care Center of Littleton. She was born in Groton on April 28, 1922 daughter of the late Leroy and Grace (Proctor) Blood and was the wife of the late Frank E. Robinson Sr. who died in 1995.

Ruth was a long life resident of Groton. She went to Groton Schools, grade one through graduation. Throughout the years, she worked many part-time jobs while raising her family, the latest being at Lawrence Academy where she worked for several years. In her younger years she was very active in the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. She loved camping, gambling in Atlantic City, and following her son's band. Ruth's true love of her life was her family. She was loved by all.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Marshall and her husband Robert, and Lona Quimby and her husband Dave both of Hollis, NH, two sisters Dorothy Truax and Doris Williams both of, Groton, three grandchildren, Raymond Robinson, Sherry Green and Rebecca Best; a great grandson, Jacob, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Frank Robinson Jr. and sister of the late Helen Hoak and Reta Lynn.

Funeral services will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St. Groton Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours will be Monday, Dec. 2 from 4-8 p.m., Burial at Groton Cemetery Groton. Please see www.badgerfuneral.com
