Obituary: Miriam I. "Mimi" (Bowman) Hegeman
Miriam "Mimi" Hegeman, of Groton, 55, died on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Mimi was born in 1960 in Meadville, PA.
She is survived by her husband Gary Hegeman and son John Peter Hegeman of Groton. Survivors also include her mother Miriam Bowman of Cotuit, two sisters, Barbara Chaffin of Clinton, and Susan Jackson of Harvard, one brother John J. "Jay" Bowman of Tampa, FL and 11 nieces and nephews.
Mimi's passion was riding horses. She found great pleasure in their care and company. She was known for her smile, outgoing personality and luck in finding four leaf clovers. Her son, "JP" was her greatest source of happiness. For the last several years of her life, she found companionship with Doug Palmisano of Groton.
A memorial service will be held at the First Parish Church of Groton, Feb. 27 at 2 pm.
