OBITUARY: Mary Margolius, 86

Mary R. Margolius of Groton and Delray Beach FL, formerly of Lexington, died peacefully with her family by her side Friday, February 22, 2013. Born in Rochelle, IL, on December 7, 1926 to Dr. Thomas and Myrtle Fern (Pottenger) MacEachern, she attended college at the University of Iowa, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained her master's degree from the University of Missouri.

Mary was a fine musician, playing the cello in many orchestras over the years, including the Concord Orchestra, The Lyric Chamber Orchestra and The Century Village East Orchestra - FL.

She was the beloved wife and best friend of 61 years to her late husband Garry Margolius. For many years they enjoyed sailing and playing recorders. She leaves behind children David Margolius (Concord), Ellen Margolius and Jay Neuman (Pittsburg, PA), Bob and Ramona Margolius (Groton), and Ann Margolius (Worchester). She had 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who were a tremendous joy to her.
