OBITUARY: Grace Olive Clark

Grace Olive (Eliades) Clark, 83, of Pensacola, FL, widow of the late Rev. Robert E. Clark passed away in her sleep on March 24, 2015, of natural causes. She was born in Ayer to the late Stephen and Martha (Tracy) Eliades. Grace grew up on Westridge Farm in Groton. She graduated from Groton High School (1949), received her B.S. at Eastern Nazarene College (1953), and her M. Ed. from Florida Atlantic University (1969).

Grace taught public school for over 50 years, her final 10 years in the Home Bound Program, in Duval County. She was an active member of ADK, Beta chapter, and very involved in Kairos Prison Ministry, as well as fund raising for Wycliffe Bible Translators, teaching Sunday School and Birthday Card ministry.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, David Scott and Aurelia "Cookie" (Velazquez) Clark, of Avon Park, FL; Dawn Susan (Clark) and Terry Sovinsky, of Pensacola, FL; Darryl Stephen and Sherry (Price) Clark of St. Augustine, FL; Dana Star (Clark) and Robert Kinsey of Tallahassee, FL. She was also survived by nine grandchildren. Her brother, Tracy Eliades and his wife Rosalie reside in Haverhill, MA. Grace is also survived by many cousins and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Wycliffe Bible Translators or FriendsOfJanna.com, towards Grace's granddaughter's continued severe glaucoma eye treatments and surgeries.

The Memorial celebration will be held at All Soul's Anglican Church, 4042 Hartley Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 on April 21, at 4 pm followed by a brief ceremony in the adjacent Memorial Garden.
