OBITUARY: Daniel Joseph Daigneault, at 62

Daniel Joseph Daigneault, 62, of Groton, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday July 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with renal cancer.

He was born on May 24, 1954 in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of the late Edmond J. and Madeline (Cossette) Daigneault. Dan graduated from Lowell High School in 1972 and ITT Tech in 1973. He married his wife, Sandra of 41 years, on April 19, 1975.

He most recently worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Ansys Inc. in Concord, MA and prior to that as a systems administrator at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, MA for 30 years. He enjoyed photography, ham radios, and astronomy. He was a ham radio operator for emergency management in Groton, MA where he has resided for the last 37 years and was a member of N.V.A.R.C.

He is survived by his wife Sandra (Manchenton) Daigneault, and his two daughters, Rayna Terrell and her husband, Bob and Danielle Hurley and her husband, Will; three grandsons, Mathias, Joseph and Alexander Terrell; two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Rachel Hurley; two brothers, Robert Daigneault, and Paul Daigneault; a sister, Marcelle (Daigneault) Ciampa and three half-brothers, Fred Daigneault, Edmond Daigneault and Christopher McNeill.

The Family will be receiving relatives and friends at the McGaffigan Funeral Home 37 Main Street (113) Pepperell, MA on Saturday August 6, 2016 from 4 -7 PM. A Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7 PM.
