Carmella Arnone, 88, of West Groton died Wednesday night, August 7, 2019 in her home in West Groton.
Carmella was born in West Groton on January 17, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Tarara) Arnone.
She was a manager for the New England Telephone Company for 40 years prior to her retirement. She was member of the New England Telephone Pioneers.
Carmella enjoyed traveling, reading and working around her yard, but most of all adored time with family.
She is predeceased by her three sisters, Anna Tristiano of Lakeville, Victoria MacGregor of West Groton and Maria Boisseau of Ayer. She leaves numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews and great grand nieces.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice during her care.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bishop Road in Ayer. There are no calling hours. The Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. www.andersonfuneral.com
