Louise A. Collins, 92
Louise A. Collins of Groton passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Medford on August 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. Malagodi, Esq. and Katherine M. Malagodi. Louise grew up in Somerville, and was a graduate of Somerville High School (1944) and attended Boston University. She was an executive with the Jordan Marsh Company in Framingham, and owned Spinners Package Store in the Forge Village section of Westford. Louise was active in the Massachusetts Federation of Women’s Clubs, and served as president of both the Natick Woman’s Club and Groton Woman’s Club.
Louise was the widow of the late Alvin B. Collins, Sr. and is survived by her three children, Patricia J. McCarthy and her husband William of Newton, NH; Alvin B Collins, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Groton; Robert L. Collins and his wife, Ranier; also of Groton, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Arrangements are being handled by the McGaffigan Hamilton Funeral Home in Pepperell.
