Audrey Richer Western

Audrey Richer Western, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017 in Farragut TN. Audrey was born on January 12, 1929 in Chicago, IL .

  She attended Simmons College in Boston where she met and married James Western.

For 56 years, James and Audrey made their home in Groton, MA. 

Audrey was a very active and involved member of St Andrews Church in Ayer, MA., Nashoba Hospital, and throughout the community. She was known for her catering and culinary skills - especially her apple pies, Beef Stew, and butterhorns.

   Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, James in March of 2017. She is survived by their four children; Sheila (John) Proctor, Christopher (Karen) Western, Julia (Steve) Vasgaard, and Rod (Charlene) Western.

  She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and five great-grand children.

Audrey enjoyed learning and could remember every single thing she read. She would tell you exactly what she thought (good or bad), and was a giving and loyal friend. This is why we will miss her.
