Arlene D. Eggimann (Widmaier)

Arlene D. Eggimann (Widmaier) of Waltham, formerly of Rumson, NJ passed away peacefully at Mass General Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was 85.  She was born on May 9, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Posseil) Widmaier and the sister of the late Arthur Widmaier.  She is survived by her loving children Diane (Mike), Peter (Patty), Marc (Elise), Cheryl (Hank) Black and Scott (Lisa).  She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Christopher (Stacey), Courtney (Joe) Gindi, Morgan, Ashleigh, Danny, Leanne, Madison, Nikki, Sammy and Ajay and one adored great-grandchild Natalie.

Arlene dearly loved watching Tom Brady and the New England Patriots with her ragdoll cats Lexi and Baily by her side. She kept up with the times by using social media as a way to connect with friends and family. Most of all Arlene cherished time with her family whether a lunch date, holiday or cook-out.  She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mass General Hospital for their extraordinary kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Arlene’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes scattered in the ocean off the Jersey coast.
