Town Third Qtr. Financials Trend Positive

   Town Manager Mark Haddad told the Select Board that in reviewing the third quarter revenues that the trend for motor vehicle excise taxes, licenses, and building permits are down over last year. 

   On the positive side, the revenue from the local meals tax is increasing from $107,000 to $128,000. “Overall. real estate and personal property are strong and people are paying their bills,” he said.

   He noted, “The Police and Fire Department did well in the operating budget. This is the second consecutive year that we have not had to add additional monies for overtime.”

   Haddad told the Board, “I am very comfortable that we will make our budget this year.
