Mosquito Borne Disease: A public service announcement from Groton Board of Health
Due to the increased risk of mosquito borne illnesses, such as West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis, the Board recommends curtailing all outdoor activities from 6 p.m. until dawn. Protect yourself and your family from mosquito borne illnesses by avoiding going outdoors between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active. Protect yourself by wearing long pants and sleeves and insect repellant. Make sure doors and windows have screens.
