Loaves & Fishes Fundraiser Underway

Dear Neighbor,

For 30 years, Loaves & Fishes has been lifting and feeding our neighbors because our communities have generously supported our efforts. Today, many of our neighbors continue to struggle to make ends meet and pay for basic necessities including food. With your help, Loaves & Fishes wants to fulfill its mission and maintain its pledge to never turn anyone away.

If retired veterans or senior citizens are trying to decide between medicine and food, we will not let them go hungry. If an unemployed mom can't afford an outfit for a job interview, we will provide one. If a child's family cannot afford school supplies, we will provide a backpack filled with a variety of supplies.

Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is run almost entirely by its 300 active volunteers. Through the generosity of our communities and the volunteer hours of hundreds of people, we are providing food, clothing and basic support to everyone who asks. Every year we see more people who need our help:

Loaves & Fishes helped 968 families last fiscal year; we fed 333 new families and Pantry use was up 8% from the previous year, and 48% since 2008

Our annual fundraiser is underway this month. Thank you for your previous support of Loaves & Fishes. We are proud to say $0.86 of every dollar donated goes directly to providing food. Every gift will help-a donation of $30 can feed someone in need for five days.
