LETTERS: Peter Cunningham for Selectman

Dear Editor,

I am supporting Peter Cunningham in his bid to be reelected to the Board of Selectman and I hope others will join me. He has been an active and valued participant in the process to develop and implement a number of Town Master Plans. Peter has worked hard to improve the governance of the Town by providing leadership for the Town Government  Study Committee which resulted in a new Town Charter in 2008.

There have been many changes to our town in recent years that have and will impact the citizens of Groton. Peter has always listened to people, spoken up for what he believes is right for the Town and worked with different parties to solve problems. Change is difficult and we all want to preserve those things that brought us to Groton in the first place. I believe Peter is someone who will help the Town make good decisions. He is thoughtful, willing to ask the hard questions and tries to keep us informed as to what are the choices and their consequences .

I appreciate Peter's support of the schools, open space, business interest and public safety concerns. Please join me in supporting Peter Cunningham for Selectman.
