LETTERS: Josh Degen for Water Commissioner

Dear Editor:

I am voicing my support for the election of Josh Degen as Water Commissioner. Over the past few years I have had the pleasure of working with Josh on several projects and have developed great respect for him as a Selectmen and a person of great honesty and integrity. Josh is fact-based and his decisions are always based on the information before him and not on conjecture that has no basis in fact. In addition Josh is never kowtowed by people who attempt to sway his opinion with false or misleading information that is disingenuous and not fact-based. More recently I realized that Josh's knowledge and understanding of both budget and financial issues is outstanding. I have watched Josh in action at Selectmen's meetings and at Town Meetings and have always been impressed that in dealing with town issues Josh always calls them as he sees them while providing constructive suggestions as to how to move forward with solutions. I greatly respect his honesty and candor. He gets things done! So I hope that the people of Groton will vote to elect Josh for Water Commissioner - I know I will.
