LETTER: Proud to Live In Groton by Elayne Loving

Dear Residents,

I tripped on an uneven piece of sidewalk last Thursday morning and needed some help, since I was bleeding from my lips. Many wonderful EMTs came to my aid and I want to thank all of them. They were calming as I realized I needed to go to the ER to get it checked out.

The other reason for writing this letter is to thank Kelly and her young daughter who stopped and helped me and called 911.

This town has been our home since 1986, and I am very proud to live here with my family for many reasons. I want to sincerely thank Kelly for stopping and remaining with me until the ambulance came (no stitches required).

If you see me walking down the street, don't think I am rude, just watching my step!
