Letter: Anna Eliot for Groton Selectwoman

Dear Editor:

I wholeheartedly endorse Anna Eliot for reelection to the Groton Board of Selectmen. Anna is a dedicated public servant who loves Groton and cares deeply for the wellbeing of its citizens. She deserves to be reelected.

As a member of the Finance Committee, Sustainable Budget Committee, and the Economic Development Committee, I have had the opportunity to work with Anna on many issues that are critical to the financial and economic future of Groton. She attends more meetings of various Town Committees than anyone I know. She solicits the opinions of a wide range of residents. In doing so, she objectively gathers facts to guide her decision making. Anna never acts based on emotion. She quietly and conscientiously reviews all the available data and perspectives, thinks them through, and then decides what is best for Groton. Her past experience as a member of the Planning Board and the Economic Development Committee provides her insight into what makes sense for Groton and its citizens.

The next few years are going to be critical in determining the future of Groton and we need a Selectwoman who has the background and experience to help guide us in the future.

Reelect Anna Eliot to the Groton Board of Selectmen.
